How We Test Alignment

Toe-in/toe-out
The wheels’ oblique alignment in relation to each other (horizontal line).
Out of square
The axles’ oblique alignment in relation to the truck and trailer’s centreline (horizontal line).
 
Camber 
Another word for wheel inclination (vertical line).
 
Caster
Another word for axle inclination. Axle inclination refers to the inclination of kingpins forwards or backwards.
 
KPI
The sideways inclination of the kingpin.
 
Toe-out on turn (TOOT)
The difference between how much to the left respective to the right the front wheel turns in a cornering manoeuvre.
 
Maximum turn
The upper limit for how much a wheel can turn during a cornering manoeuvre.
